Wie diesem Zitat zu entnehmen ist, war Goethe nicht gerade ein glühender Verehrer der, oftmals als parasitär bezeichneten, Gattung Parodie. Eine Daseinsberechtigung gestand er ihr nur ein, sofern sie berechtigte Kritik am Original äußert oder ein „kreatives Potential" entfaltet. Der Untersuchungsgegenstand dieser Hausarbeit erfüllt beide Kriterien. Ob Goethe Gefallen an Heinz Erhardts Parodie „Der Fischer (frei nach Johann Sebastian Goethe)" gefunden hätte, muss leider offen bleiben.
Um Textverweise zu erleichtern, sind in vorliegender Hausarbeit beide Versionen des Fischers abgedruckt. Bevor sich der Blick jedoch auf Original und Adaption richtet, werden einige Definitionsversuche der Parodie im Allgemeinen vorgestellt, um eine theoretische Grundlage zu schaffen.
Heinz Erhardt war ein (Unsinns-)Poet, der nie als solcher wahrgenommen wurde und eher als sympathischer Dicker aus zahlreichen Klamaukfilmen der Nachkriegszeit in Erinnerung geblieben ist. Dass Erhardt weit mehr war als ein blödelnder Komiker mit Hang zur einfachen Pointe, zeigen allein schon seine Balladenparodien, die sich unter anderem Goethe, Schiller und Bürger widmen und dabei eine ganz spezielle Originalität entfalten.
Diese Hausarbeit erhebt nicht den Anspruch, eine vollständige Balladenanalyse zu leisten, vielmehr geht es darum Erhardts parodistische „Werkzeuge" und deren Wirkung zu beschreiben. Wie schafft er es Goethe lächerlich zu machen? Wie beeinflusst seine Parodie die spätere Rezeption eines lebendigen Kulturguts?
